We are excited to announce this new theatre program for teens led by actor/director/creator Peyton le Barr! It's a wonderful opportunity for students to deep dive into the world of theatre, experience a traditional rehearsal process including scene study work, character development, and physical theatre. An ideal choice for aspiring actors who love theatre but aren't as keen on singing and dancing, or those who have worked with Dreda and Bruno for a while and are ready to learn from someone new. Similar to the other Showmaker Presents musical programs, this is a year-long commitment and all students registered will be guaranteed a role in the play. Excerpts of the show will be included in our Variety Show on stage at the end of November and the full production will be mounted in June. Exciting! *Please note: Although this program is intended as a year-long commitment, it is sold term to term. Here is a bit about The Play That Goes Wrong... This 1920s whodunit has everything you never wanted in a show: an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines). Nevertheless, the accident-prone thespians battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences! Part Monty Python, part Sherlock Holmes, this Olivier Award-winning comedy is a global phenomenon that’s guaranteed to leave you aching with laughter!
